BMC stimulates show jumpers by ‘Encouragement Foundation’

The main sponsor of Outdoor Gelderland BMC is rewarding highly successful show jumpers with a bonus. This year, those who come top in the BMC Grand Prix of Gelderland can expect a generous bonus from the ‘BMC Encouragement Foundation’. In 2007, Ben Schröder with the stallion Rubert R was the winner of the BMC Grand Prix of Gelderland. The international competition will take place from 4 to 8 June in De Steeg, Arnhem.

Outdoor Gelderland has prize money of nearly 200.000 euros. ‘It is not easy to manage the running costs of the competitions. Outdoor Gelderland is a fabulous event that, concerning the grounds, the facilities, the atmosphere and the visiting public, deserves the best participants. As far as prize money is concerned, there can be, in the coming years, a bit more progress expected. At least, from our point of view as sponsors’, is how the initiative was explained by committee chairman Albert Jansen of BMC. ‘I fully understand that this cannot happen from one day to the next. But to ensure that we can be sure of attracting the very best show jumpers to Outdoor Gelderland, we have created the ’Encouragement Foundation’.

BMC shall award the winner of the Grand Prix with a bonus of 10.000 euros over and above the prize money that Outdoor Gelderland offers. Second and third places will receive from BMC respectively 5.000 and 2.500 euros on their bank accounts.

Outdoor Gelderland will take place from 4 to 8 June 2008. For the latest information, opening times, the program and ticket sales click on www.outdoorgelderland.nl or www.kasteelfairmiddachten.nl.
