Gal and Minderhoud impress national selectors

Edward Gal and the black power boy Moorland’s Totilas (Gribaldi x Glendale) also in Zwolle continued their impressive string of wins at Grand Prix-level. In their first Grand Prix in Hengelo in December they immediately took the win. Now one month later in Zwolle in the National Grand Prix on Sunday night once again they were unbeatable (72,62%). Marlies van Baalen and her stallion BMC Kigalo became the runner up (69,57%).

Just nine year old stallion Moorlands Totilas showed the optimal mixture between power and extreme movement possibilities on the one hand and suppleness and looseness on the other. Edward Gal was very happy with the win. He plans not to overdo it and will give Moorlands Totilas time to gain strength. “I am happy to have proved myself again as this class was an observational class for the Dutch selectors, however it takes two more years for the WEG Kentucky and almost four for the OG in London and those shows are my major aim”, Edward Gal commented.

At Intermediate level Hans Peter Minderhoud took his fifth win at Zwolle International. After two wins aboard the stallion IPS Tango at Intermediate level and two wins aboard Exquis Escapado in Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle in the international program now Minderhoud rode Free bird Ucelli T to the win in the national class Prix St Georges (72,37%). Edward Gal aboard IPS United was the runner up (70,26%).

Joyce Heuitink deserves a special compliment for her perseverance. Friday and Saturday she showed stallion Wup in Münster, Sunday Wup and Heuitink showed themselves for the national selection in Zwolle. They reached eighth position (62,50%).
