Hans Peter Minderhoud winning man in Zwolle

On the second dressage day of Zwolle International Hans Peter Minderhoud again was the winning man, winning both the Intermediate Freestyle test aboard stallion IPS Tango (73,800%) and the Grand Prix Freestyle test aboard Exquis Escapado (75%).
Hans Peter Minderhoud showed Exquis Escapado at the nice music for Exquis Nadine, created by Joost Peters. “It’s time for his own Freestyle music now, as Nadine has much bigger strides and I had to adept the music to Escapado’s steps. Now when he is full back in work, I like to have his own music”, Hans Peter said. It will need some more time though. Hans Peter plans to show Exquis Escapado in two World Cup™ Qualifier Events to have a reserve horse for the Final in Las Vegas if needed. It’s a busy schedule for Hans Peter, competing in the World Cup™ Qualifier in Amsterdam aboard Nadine, than competing aboard Exquis Escapado in the new World Dressage Masters in Palm Beach and than move forward to the finals of the KWPN Stallion competitions in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in The Netherlands again.

The second stallion who again won his class was the former vice World champion Young Horses BMC Roman Nature, KWPN approved as well. Angela Krooswijk took the win in the individual test (71,315%) after her first win in the teamtest. Angela Krooswijk was very happy as three of her horses, BMC Roman Nature, Flash and Don Revino, now have been promoted to the Dutch A-cadre. A welcome reward for training efforts

The runner up position in the Grand Prix Freestyle this time was for KWPN-approved stallion BMC Kigali showed by Marlies van Baalen. The pair was there and showed remarkable improvement in piaffe and passage, an easiness in the changes and in the performing of the program. The pair showed on the Sinatra-music which belonged to the stallion Idocus in the early days. Dutch judge Eddy de Wolff van Westerrode commented that he felt the start in the trotting work had not been to the advantage of BMC Kigali, as he had noticed some irregularity, which showed in his points. Trainer Johann Hinnemann was happy but said improvements could still be reached by Marlies when she would allow herself and BMC Kigali a fraction more time in between.

Sander Marijnissen aboard Moedwill (Goodwill x Beaujolais) did a new Freestyle test composed by Charles Montérie. It needed some more work to really get more harmonious and in time. “I was very happy with the extensions but could not make the best use of the choreography and the music now. I had only ridden it once at home”, Sander commented, who became third.

Other classes
No rider could beat the almost unbeatable Rabotalent of the year Lotje Schoots aboard Torricelli in the Young Riders individual test (72,105%).
Belgian Noemi Goris took the individual test Friday morning aboard Alexander Dumas (71,228) and this time Dutch Maria van den Dungen was the runner up aboard the beautiful looking only eight year old black stallion Rembrandt DDH (sired by Renoir) (70,175%). Talking about pairs in the Dutch A-cadre, Maria van den Dungen already has five ponies on her list, an incredible effort at this young age.
